Hi Roxann, I'm sorry to hear that your rooftop AC isn't working. I am not an AC specialist, but I would think that the problem could be faulty parts. It couldn't hurt to look into some spare parts that may be available for similar units and trying to swap them out. http://anyrvparts.com/generac-guardian-p...

SOURCE: My coleman mah 3 roof top will not blowon fan side

Sounds like you have either a bad fan motor or a bad fan motor capacitor. When you turn the unit on with the fan not working, the compressor (the humming noise) runs and gets real hot real quick resulting in the compressor cutting off ( the nothing after) on it's inside high temp switch. This is what the compressor is designed to do so that when this happens, it does not burn the compressor out. Replace you fan capacitor, give the compressor an hour to cool, then try it. In most cases and if I'm correct, the unit will run just like you want it to. Good luck.

SOURCE: coleman mach rv roof ac, the fan comes on but the compressor doesn't, i've replaced all capacitors and stll is not comming on, how do i check voltage to the compressor to maske sure i have pow

At the compressor connectors you have a live and a neutral phase. The live usually goes to a ptc relay starting mechanism which you can test with a meter. If you can disconnect the relay and check the windings of the compressor from one pin to the other two it will tell you if the compressor is open circuit. It is more often than not an overload fault.

Tried to get hard top off my 1999 SL320. Rear points released but front ones stuck. They seem to be slightly released but roof won't budge. Rear points now out of their points and won't go bac

you need to release front points, they are partialy ceized, penatrating oil (wd40) keep working them, plenty of patience needed. good luck

I have coleman air conditioning units on my 1991 Georgie Boy. They both leak... water from rain and also when units are shut off, lots of water comes back in. I bought gaskets but it looks like someone...

I'm thinking that motorhome has a rubber roof, so you don't want to cut at roof, or you'll likely end up cutting rubber roof which is certainly not a good idea. It may take some work but try prying and scraping with a plastic scraper while someone lifts up ******* upper unit. Quite often whatever sealant they've used to seal between roof and gasket will start to let go with constant upward pressure.(lifting) If you have fiberglass type roof and not rubber, scrape and pry where gasket meets roof.

Our Toro, guaranteed to start, won't start. We can cut awhile, then it will not restart. Plug is fine, getting a spark, and not at all wet, can't seem to find the problem. This doesn't...

I have the same problem. One time this happened and it restarted after a few hours and worked fine for 5 more cuts over a couple of months time. Now again it quit mid cut of my yard and would not restart. When trying to start it would fire for a few seconds and than shut off again. I wated a week to try it again and now it does nto fire at all. This is about a year old mower with only about 10-15 hours of total use.

My duo therm roof top camper air conditioner just shut off and will not come back on. Can hear a click when turning on now but nothing else. Note that heater will not come one either.

The click that you are hearing is the relay control board in the rooftop unit. This means that you are getting 12V to the board. It sounds like you are not getting 120V to the AC unit. Check the breakers in the breaker panel to make sure they are OK. If they are fine, then turn off the AC for 5 to 10 minutes and try again. There is a thermal protection device in the unit that prevents you from turning it right back on after a shut down. Try putting the thermostat to fan only operation. If the fan does not come on in fan only mode, then you have thrown a breaker.

Hope this helps,

Jeff
