I have a Koss KS3102 and recentley the tuner and av inputs stoped working...I can turn them on but no sound comes out. What i don't understand is how i can play cd's and watch dvd's. Can anyone help me? THanks
I think I have had the same problem. It seems like the system resets itself randomly. I think if you first turn it on in AV-1 or AV-2 mode, then hit the menu button on the remote, then scroll to ihe 'input'option, hit that then pick 'digital'. Do this for both AV-1&2. UI hope this fixes your problem!

Hi,i suggests there is a loose or broken connection on your video connections between the Koss KS3102 System dvd player
and tv. Having sound suggests the optical pickup is fine. If you did
not have sound then the Koss KS3102 System dvd player could have been broken. If checking
the connections doesn't work, try a cleaning disk.
How is the surround sound connected through the TV?For now,you can try just setting the sound settings in the TV to stereo or SAP and see if that gives your PS3 sound because it may not support surround sound system. If not, just comment on this post and I will get an auto email that says you replied and we'll try something else. Good luck! Greg
You probably have the av inputs set to digital instead of analog. The easiest way to fix this is to turn the theater system on, turn it to one of the the inputs, then hit menu on the remote. You will cycle through some options with the right arrow until you get to "input", which will offer av 1 and av 2, you can select either one with the ok button. then you will get some more options, analog - optical - coaxial, the first one that shows up is the one you've got currently selected. unless you're using one of the other audio input formats, the system should most likely be set to analog. You will probably need to do this with both inputs.
You have to do this every time the system loses power in my experience.
What I did was turn on the system, don't put in any dvd in, or select an output 1 or 2. Press Menu on the remote, the display on the system display, not on tv should show Speaker, and other options. Select Input, select the one you want to use as the Optical Sound by press enter, then it will ask you on the system display input or optical sound input. Select optical input and press enter it will then say saved. You can then hit exit til goes back to where the display is back on main screen, or just wait til it exit by itself.
when you select the av input on the remote, hit the menu button,it should give you a few options, select the av input you have your connections in and select analog if its analog.coax if coax.etc.i select analog because thats what i use and sound comes through after that.hope this helps, its not too detailed because this is from memory because my player just stopped working.don't know why mine stopped working.
Hey I have the same home theater and experience the same audio problem from time to time. What you have to do is use the menu button on the remote and select all the speakers again. For some reason this home theater just turns off the speakers randomly from time to time.
Now I'm experiencing problems with video not displaying on different inputs. I'm getting a new home theater, I think this one has had it.
Had the same exact problem today. Called and e-mailed Koss today and was told player was made by Koss Electronics, not Koss headphones and that Koss Electronics went out of business. Finally just started hitting random 4 digit combinations and would you believe 0000 works? lol
