Screen goes blank also.

Hello, recently my Xerox 19-inch LCD Monitor screen just went black. When I power it up the blue power light will be solid for approx. 5 secs and the screen will light up greyish-black, then the screen loses all light and the power LED flashes.

Hey I've got the exactly the same problem as you, guys, but i have XA7-19i monitor, and the DOWN button doesn't work as reset button, i have tried all the buttons.. it takes effect only on MENU button, but no picture just few red, green, blue lines. Earlier i had the same problem but it fixed itself (it was working 3months perfectly) but now its black again and nothing seems to be helpful..

The thing with removing the power from the back of the monitor and holding the Down Button down whilst plugging back in the power does work. My 19inch Monitor was having the same sort of problem. White lines would appear as I turned on the monitor. I did the hard reset on the monitor and it works! I was awed and amazed.

I am in the UK.  I had the same problem.  Bought it from PC World with one years cover. 2 years later broke.  PC World didn't want to know, but could do me a good deal on a new one.  After trawling the internet and looking for reviews of the monitor I found out that there is a Manufacturers 3 year warantee on it.  Contacted Goodies Enterprises of Bedford and they could fix it for 56GBP, including shipping.

Very good communication with them - thank you Velma - and it took less than 2 weeks to get it back (next day delivery once it's fixed).  Fingers crossed it's sorted.

I have an XG92-D with this same problem. I took the suggestion of unplugging the monitor, holding the down button while plugging the monitor back in. Then I turned the power back on, and my monitor now works again! Thank you.

I have seen this on two 17i's now - I tried a 'DIY factory reset' (i.e. I guessed and tried several buttons until it worked !). All I did was pull out the power cable, hold down the 'down' button on the screen whilst plugging the power back in. This has cured this on both screens (including the one I'm using now !). I have no idea if this is a proper Xerox function, but it worked for me twice. The problem I was having (in case yours is different) was the screen would power up and display normally for about five seconds, then go black. Hope this helps !

I too have an LCD Xerox - it worked fine for a while, then kept going blank and going onto standby. Unplugging and reconnecting from both pc and power seems to reset it. It hadn't happened for months but started again the other night when it occurred to me that I had just downloaded MS security updates - I've removed the ones that I downloaded just before it started happening again and the problem seems to be solved. Hope this helps someone.

Blue light on with blank screen dell SE198WFP monitor

It depends on what type of connection you are using. If you are using a VGA (analog) cable then you need to select that mode on your monitor menu. If you are using a DVI (digital) cable then you need to choose that mode on you monitor menu.

Screen goes blank

Screen going black would indicate a data flow problem- but then you would see a warning saying words to this affect or a back light/inverter problem. If by looking slightly sideways at the sreen you can see 'shadow images'[try a moving image to be syre] then you have a backlight /inverter problem If you see nothing at all ckecj the data cable pins- one or more may be bent

Xerox XG-91D 19 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor

Just tore mine apart so here is some help. You need to remove the two screws on the back of the case on the bottom. Then you remove the front cover it slides toward the top of the screen then lifts off. You can pry it off if that doesn't work. If you want to seperate the screen from the back cover you then need to remove the swivel mount and the other two screws from the back cover.

Hello Frank, I have the same problem with my monitor. I don?t have the answer yet to resolve the problem. if you want the first of us who find the resolution will advise the other. I sent an email to Xerox to get the info to remove the cover without breaking it. regards Sylvain
