Question about Bosch HGS435UC Gas Kitchen Range

1 Answer

All lights on the touch panel are flashing and a continous beeping sound

The power went out and went back on during cooking. The range started beeping and all lights on the touch panel are flashing. What could be wrong? The USER INTERFACE BOARD or the POWER BOARD?

Bosch 700 series range. So far unplugging the range and waiting several minutes to plug back in reset everything like rebooting a computer.

I have a Frigidaire Elements stove. When I went to preheat the oven I got a constant 'beep' and a code, F13 ERR. Please help Thank-you Anxious in Indy

Hi akadiki,

This error code F13 description is a bad Clock ERC. The steps below will help you determine whether the ERC or touchpad is defective.

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.

2. Gain access inside the control panel.

3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.

4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.

5. Turn the power back on.

6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F13 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).

7. If F13 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Have roast on burner and it beeped and flashed FI. I pressed cancel and it stopped. Is this something I should be worried about? It is working fine.

F1 touch pad / ERC test This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

F1 error code, beeping

You have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad.

  • Disconnect power to stove
  • Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  • Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  • Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  • Turn power back on to stove.
  • Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  • If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  • If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.
    N
  • OTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock as one part.

That error means the main control board has a internal failure. The board will have to replaced to fix that issue. If you need detailed repair help with that visit the link below:
