According to this, a red flashing light means the water is heating. If it never goes to steady red, it may indicate that the heating element may have failed.

After lighting your water heater, your water will start getting warm in about an hour.------------------------------------------------------------------------- ECU Chip Tuning Tool
"First green light flashing"... that meant the float cut off switch which is right at the bottom of the machine, was being activated by a water leak filling up the bottom tray where the float switch lives. The water inlet valve was closed to prevent any more flooding, and green light No 1 shows "no water entering machine".
In some cases, the leak was due to a burst in the short black rubber hose between the main pump and the water trap under the main filter and drain assembly. Need a new hose cured the whole sorry mess. To get at the relevant bits turn machine on its side and remove the bottom tray (six screws, three each side.
Hi
Simply turn the tuner on using the power button.
Play an open string note close to the tuner (no more than about 1/2 metre away) - for instance the low E on string 6.
The built in microphone will pick up the sound and, if your guitar is reasonably close to being in tune the led light labelled 'E' will illuminate on the lower scale on the tuner along with one of the three other leds to indicate whether the note is flat (b), in tune (green) or sharp (#).
Due to harmonics any or all of these three leds may flash but it is the one that is on the most that matters.
Adjust the tuning peg until the green is on constantly when you play the string.
Move on to the next string
Note - if the string is more than a semitone sharp or flat a different light may flash (e.g if the low E string is 3/4 of a tone flat the D light will come on).
If you wish to tune your guitar to another instrument that is not at perfect pitch (and perhaps cannot be easily adjusted - like a pipe organ) you can use the calibrate button to adjust the setting of the tuner. This temporary recalibration will be lost when the tuner is turned off.
The arrow straight line meens end of program. However the flashing lights do indicate an error codeas per the handbook. This could be the ati flood device (polystireen float / micro switch) at the bottom of the machiene indicating a water leak. This device puts the washer in pump out mode and nothing els works until the error has been rectified.
I have the same washer unit and I purchased my washer new in 1989. The flashing filter light is normal. If the light doesn't flash, than the water filter is plugged up. The water filter is self cleaning each time the water empties. You can take off the front panel(two screws at the bottom and the top disengages with metal clips. The water filter in at the bottom on the right, white plastic housing. There is a drive belt from the motor that powers the pump. When the washer goes into the spin cycle, the motor changes rotation direction and the pump works in reverse, thus flushing out the lint that may have been captured during the agitation cycle. I hope this helps.
Indesit IDL700 first two green lights flashing and cycle stops with dirty water left in the machine. CAUSE - blocked or jammed drain pump. SOLUTION - First remove all the filters inside the machine, syphon or sponge up all the water in the sump and check for any obstruction over the fine grill at the very bottom. (we had a pistachio shell covering the hole!). If this doesn't cue it you will need to gain access to the pump. First, turn off the power. Gently lift the machine onto it's side (be ready for some water to spill out!). Remove the bottom plate (6 screws) and disconnect the sump float switch. Remove the single screw retaining the pump to the bottom of the machine and rotate to remove. You should be able to see the rotor blades. With your finger check to see if the pump rotates freely. To dismantle the pump, remove the 3 screws and separate the two halves. Our pump was jammed with an apple stalk!. Reassemble and connect any cables. Apparently this is a known problem with these machines and can be prevented by assembling the filter system correctly and pre-rinsing plates etc. before placing in the dishwasher.
