I got my hard drive a couple of months ago and it was working just fine, until 2 nights ago.
all of a sudden, it wouldn't mount on my mac...or my sister's mac.
but, when i tried using my bro's pc, it mounted.
please help. thanks a lot.
(i'm still hopeful there's a solution for it)

I would try to uninstall the drive on the OS. Then re-start the computer. After the re-start, connect the drive and see if the drive re-installs itself.
If the error persists, then the drive is indicating failure. To absolutely verify if it has failed, take the drive to a store where there are MAC computers and try the drive on one of their computers to see if it works.
A continuous flashing LED on most devices where the LED does not normally continuously flash is an indication of a failure of the device. Some devices will flash an error code when designed to do so, and if possible.
If it reads fine on your PC then I would suggest to back up all the files from it before you do anything else. Once you've done that, you can right click and run a check disk on the drive see if it fixes any errors. If it does, then that may be the reason why it didn't work on the Mac, if it doesn't then you can try formatting the hard drive on the PC and then it will be like brand new.
It should not affect the data on the hard drive but with all repairs such as this it always worth making sure you have your hard drive backed up. I had a similar problem with a imac a couple of years ago and the hard drive was fine when it came back. Hope this helps.
