Question about Zenith D52WLCD 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I purchased a used non working Zenith D52WLCD recently. I completely dissassembled it, thoroughly and carfully!) removed all the dust and crud, and replaced the bulb and ballast. It worked! All is well except for two things: 1. There is a yellow tint to the lower third of the screen. 2. The "replace bulb" red light is still on even though the new bulb I put in work fine. Any suggestions?
I would guess that the light engine is not aligned right with the chassis. You will probably have to get into the menus and reset the bulb timer setting to get rid of the replace bulb light. A common problem with these sets is a clogged lint screen causing the set to overheat and shut off after a period of time.
