I saw someone else who asked about the same problem but no solution. Everything but my oven works. The broiler works too but if I turn on the oven nothing happens. It worked fine the last time I used it but not now.
I cleaned the oven the other day, then cooked rolls in it. Now the broiler and top burners work, but not the oven.I cleaned the oven the other day, then cooked rolls in it. Now the broiler and top burners work, but not the oven.

we have the same problem. Everything except the oven works. We unplugged thinking that might do something, but it didn't. We also cleaned
the oven-still only the oven remains inoperable while the stove and broiler work fine.we have the same problem. Everything except the oven works. We unplugged thinking that might do something, but it didn't. We also cleaned

I found that my oven was inaccurate in the 250-400 degree range. However, when I turn my oven up to 550 degrees and bring it back down, it goes to the correct temperature. I verified this with a separate oven thermometer.

Check your Measure oven temperature sensor circuit at oven temperature sensor (should be approx 1100 ohms at room temp); check for cut or pinched wire or loss of contact
and /or Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)

Hi,
The problem usually is the ignitor. Even if it glows it may not be pulling enough current to open the gas valve. They also are very fragile and break easily.
This tip will help you also.
If you have standing pilots, make sure the pilot for the oven/broiler is lit as well. When you turn the thermostat up to call for heat, you should see the pilot get larger. That larger pilot flame heats a hydraulic sensor and opens the main burner valve.
Hi I have a older GE that the oven won't light. It is a gas range that is electric ignited. The top burners do work but the oven will not light. Is it pricey to have this fixed?
GE XL44... Oven does not work. It was working just fine one day & then would not work. Everything else works fine. Stove has electric ignitiion. Could it be it is not working on the oven? Any ideas?
