Question about Edimax PS-1205UWg (PS1205UWG) Print Server
I have bought this multifunction printer and I want to use my printer server to print my document on it. I have used for about 1 year this printer server with a Brother MFC 3420C without any problem. I have installed the new driver of CANON and I choose the printer port of my printer server, but when I try to print something (from Windows XP SP2), nothing is printed : have you any idea ? I have tried this printer directly with pc and the printer work properly. A little resume : - Printer : Canon I-Sensys MF4150 - Computer : Windows XP Service Pack 2 Home Edition (fujitsu-siemens amilo notebook) - Printer server : EDIMAX PS-1205UWg Thanks in advance
After several days of researching the same problem for the MF4150, the conclusion is that you have to use an Axis or Silex brand print server developed specifically for Canon. Both have been reported to provide Print/Scan/Fax multi-functionality, but it seems Silex is the one Canon really supports (it's only sold on their website) and is most likely to be the least problematic.

Wondering why you changed to a new Canon driver? With the new driver, this print server may not work, no IFs, ANDs or BUTs. Most print servers (not all though) don't work well with a multi-function printer. This one probably changed due to software programming in the new driver. All you can really do is return to the older driver, or buy another type of print server. ZT3000 "Beta tester of "0"s and "1's"

Somehow the question seems to have changed since I last read it. sigh...
Did you change the printer port information (from your old Brother port information) to match the requirements
needed by the Canon?
I'm speaking specifically about the port protocol and port number/name.
You could try setting the port protocol to RAW and the RAW port to 9100, click Okay and try a test page.
Again, let it be known, Most print servers (not all though) don't work well with a software-based multi-function printer.
