Subwoofer won't turn on

The dvd works fine, except the 'on' light on the subwoofer doesn't turn on, and I don't get any sound. Everything is hooked up, and the subwoofer is plugged in. Thanks.

I have the same problem but found that this JVC unit must have a special cord from the player to the subwofer in order to turn it on. Im looking for the cord now!

Describe your Venue SUB10 Subwoofer Problem: The subwoofer won't turn on at all. The red light doesn't even come on. Could it be the fuse in the subwoofer? If so, where is the fuse located?

You can remove the screw near the volume knob and the screw near the on/off switch - then slide out the amp remove the black and white wire - then check the fuse - if its blown look for we repair amps - ebay - if its good then it probably still needs work - it should turn red when plugged in and no signal and green when signal is present - which means amp is on.

My subwoofer stop working

I have a Sony 46" LCD TV. I have a Direct TV HD converter box, a Sony Blu-Ray BDP-S360 Blu-Ray player, and a Pioneer DVD-Audio player connected to my Pioneer Elite Home Theater receiver. I have my Pioneer DVD-A player connected via Fiber-Optic cable. When i play a DVD or a DVD-A on my Pioneer DVD-A player, all of my speakers work fine, but when i play a dvd on my blu-ray player, all the speakers work except my subwoofer. How can I fix this problem?

SA-AX720 no subwoofer signal?

THIS UNIT HAS NO SUB WOOFER AMP IN IT. THE ONLY WAY TO OVER COME THIS IS TO HOOK THE LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT SPEAKERS STRAIGHT TO THE SUB WOOFER AND THEN GO FROM THE SUB WOOFER BACK TO THE INPUTS ON THE BACK OF THE UNIT FOR THE FRONT SPEAKERS. THE SUB WOOFER THIS WAY WILL EXTRACT THE BASS AND THE FRONT WILL RECEIVE THEIR PART. THIS SOUNDS CRAZY AS HELL I KNOW BUT THAT'S HOW I GOT MINE TO WORK. THE OUTPUT FOR THE SUBWOOFER IS USELESS AND PUT THERE FOR YOU TO HOOK UP AN AMP FOR A SUB WOOFER. EVERYTHING HAS SHORT COMINGS, AND THAT'S THE ONE FOR THE AX-720.

Amp is on, Subwoofer works, but no sound.

here is a short test you can try, remove the rca audio cable from the amp & connect a diskman or toher audio o/p device that you can hook up with the same rca wires, turn on the amp & see if you have sound. you can also remove the speaker wires from the sub & using multi meter read the ohm's of the sub, most subs are 4 ohm. Hope this help locate your problem
