I have lost the disk to install my Epson DX4050 to my computer

Epson sylus notorious getting getting corrupted software
1st Uninstall all Epson stylus printer software prividing you have instalation disk
Disconnect Printer
Restart computer and check to make sure under control panel / printers that there is no primary printer in there if there is delete it
2nd give printer power cable /communication cable good clean and check the printer port on computer isnt damaged.
3rd turn computer off reconnect printer have software ready but only if it is required most window systems have enough data with them that it will recognise new printer and install auto but if it asks for disk you will have it ready.
4th turn computer back on see if it notices new printer if not not to worry put disk in and install software,which will normally take you through a connect cables and power and install guide after that it should do a test print, if this comes out everything should ok again, but just check in control panel/ printer, and make sure its marked as default printer

If you are using the latest Operating System, once you plug in the cable to your computer it should automatically install the resident driver from your computer.
One other way is to go to support.epson.com and download the online driver for your printer.

I would uninstall all of the epson software, download the latest from epson and try again.
I could not find the DX4050, there was a DX4450 and a DX4850, but the drivers where the same

Select product category as multifunction inkket printer and then select the model number for your priter and download the drivers.
