When I turn on my copier the "A400" messager flashes on the display screen.
I've hada service guy come out and tell me it's the laser and only $5-600.00 would solve the problem.I'm not interested in paying that kind of money.
Does anyone know if I can replace the laser and where one could be obtained?

AP means that the copier is going thru a major toner cycle. Sometimes when you drag a lot of toner out for dark copies, the normal toner cycle is not enough. The spring that takes the toner from the cartridge to the dev unit mat also be faulty or broken. Sometimes the AP message will go away but make sure you have plenty of toner.
