Fridge does get cold

Had a black out and ever sence the fridge does not get cold enough to freeze anything.I here the motor cycle but it shuts down too quick to freeze.

    I've got the same problem. We had a black out and first we noticed that the freezer wouldn't stay cold. Then a few days later the refrigerator stopped working.

Sounds like the motor starter/capacitor may be faulty. How long does the compressor run for? Do you hear a clicking every few minutes from the compressor? If a power surge fried the defrost timer that too could give similar results.
