We can not use our dvd player with direct tv, does the tv have to be on a special channel or something? We do not have the original remote to this tv and we'd like to use our dvd player. Can you help me make sure it's wired correctly, or have any suggestions.
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely
Terrys

There should be a video input on back of the tv you can use, (red, white and yellow colors) this set I believe had more than one input. that would work for you dvd

The vertical scan output section of your tV is faulty. It might be an IC failure or loose solder terminals at this section. Your set need service. Never advance brightness control to this set at this condition. It may leave a thin black line across the screen, which will be irrepariable. Contact any experienced service technician.
Greetings - You need to have you DVD player hooked up to the video inputs - See below. Don't mind the mouse scratch out lines. The Device on the right represents your DVD player.
You then have to choose video as your source on the TV (not channel 3 or 4) using your remote - see below.
Sorry, but no, although you can get a phillips universal remote control. It is awesome, it also comes with a manual and a book of codes and instructions on how to program it to your tv or dvd player. hope this helps
Hello, Connet the output of the cable box to the DVD player and the TV out output of the DVD player to the TV (TV must be tuned to Channel 0, Chanel 3 or 4). You should be able to use the remote to switch between the DVD signal and the cable signal.
For changing language you need to go to the Special Menu Options. While on the menu select the one on the far right (past audio, picture menu options). Second line in special menu is the one to select Language, you can change it to english there.
Check your remote. On my Sentry 2, the magic is the SOURCE button, which allows you to access the AUX (auxilliary) channel. This is what you need to select to view your DVD output.
Yes coming in her VCR with Cable or ant, if she has satellite it would be different. Going out to tv from VCR. Then in is Input the Out is Output. RF cable connection or A/V inputs(jacks) either one same way of hookup.
