You need to call for contract service . Chassie needs to be replaced . Had the same problem .

If the LED does not stop flashing after 90 seconds, there are 2 Capacitors on the Digital Board that are bubbled up and need replaced.

Page 11 talks about using a paper clip to hit the recessed small reset button. try this

code 34 is lamp abnormlality which what you are discribing is most likly the balast, since the lamp comes on for a brief second then shuts down. the part # 939P978010

This remote device works on pulsed IR beams to work, and the fact that the screen refreshes very close to the speed of the controller could be causing the reliability problem..Sorry I don't have a better solution for you....accordianman
