My view timer has been stuck on and I am unable to receive a picture. I have unplugged the TV for hours at a time and even overnight and the TV set will not reset itself. When I turn on the TV it goes right to view timer mode and the red light is blinking. Does anyone have a solution to this problem I called Sharp and they were no help.
Take your set to a tech your problem is more a technical problem that sounds as you are having a chip problem that controls the timer

I have exactly the same problem. I can unplug for days and when I turn the power back on, you hear "click, click, click..." then it goes to "view timer" and the light just flashes. While I appreciate the advice of "taking set to tech", this thing is the size of a buick so a house call is the only answer...you'd think there would be a "module" you could take out. Sharp? When their web site is working it's useless...this model is not even listed.
Has anyone had this fixed?
