Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

Verizon V3C connected to network full bars but wont make/receive calls or texts. What gives?

The phone is connected to the network. the bars are at the tops. But calls don't connect. this isn't an "all the time" thing, but it happens frequently enough. sometimes I go hours without being able to use my phone! I am not afraid to open it up and look under the hood. I've fixed cells before but this problem is eluding me.

    I had the same problem with my Razr phone. I determined it was a faulty phone and not Verizon Wireless, since after a few weeks of trying to connect and receive calls from a work buddy with the same phone and service, it was determined that it was my phone that was faulty. I'm using my old LG 4400 until 6/18, when Verizon Wireless gives me a renewal discount. If it was an easy and cheap fix I'd do it, but I'm not sure about that.

The problem you have guys was a hardware failure and we cannot fix it here probably your p.a. ( power ampli ) is faulty or the uem ( power and audio ic ) go to your nearest service center... or try this , this may solve the problem... go to menu, settings, initial set up, master clear, code (000000 ),,, then phone will boot just wait,,, then again go to menu, settings, initial set up,,master clear with d same code... wait till it boots up.... let me know if your problems solve..

Might be a problem with the network part. I mean the transceiver built in. Do another reset and see whether it fixed the phone. In most case, if the reset couldn't fix it, the problem might be hardware

You cannot turn it off, it is a connection indicator that means that you are currently connected to the Verizon 3g Network. Rather than an older CDMA network.

EV is just a abbreviated form of EVDO.
What it mean if you see this symbol is that you should receive a faster network speed with browsing the internet and such.

The best thing to do is to take the battery out while the device is powered on and leave it out for thirty seconds, then replace the battery and power the device on, once it is at your main screen dial *228 and send selection option one by pressing 1 and let the music play after the programming is complete it should work just fine.
