Belt replacement I would like to know how to replace the belt on this machine. I have it, but it won't simply fit over the pulleys, so I gather there is a specific way to fix it. Can anyone help me?

How do I remove the top on a Bernina 807 in order to chnage th elong belt ?

V-Belt replacement 801/801 Up Machines

Only the belt cover needs to be removed for this belt change. This is done by removing the three screws on the end/belt cover. Loosen the 5mm Allen socket head screw below the step pulley to relieve the belt tension. Remove the lower motor belt. Lift the step pulley and slide off the hand-wheel, (assuming that you have already removed the release knob and clutch ring).

Additional top cover removals 807/801 Minimatic machines

Early 807 machines had two expansion nipples in the top cover that fit into receptor holes in the upper arm frame. Simply pull up the top cover.

Very late models may have a push button latch mechanism, same as on the 801 machines except those fitted with carrying handles, i.e. 801 Sport, 810 machines.

This is accessed by opening the light cover and finding an aluminum knob in the upper left hand corner of the upper arm frame. Push this in and the cover will release. Lift off the top cover.

The washing machine won't spin

If "won't spin" is your only symptom, then the most probable problem is the belt. It could be broken or it could simply have slipped off the pulley. You can get replacements at just about any appliance repair place or even an auto parts place. Simply measure the old belt with a flexible tape and get a replacement. Replacing it on the pulleys is simple. Loop it over one pulley and then partially loop it over the other pulley as far as it will go and then rotate the pulley to work the belt all the way on. Wala! Good to go.

Belt coming off

Yes , in due course the belt can be worn out of the edges and so can SLIP through the pulley when there is load. Examine the belt carefully and check for the wedge damage, If so replace the belt, However if you have a problem to source, then you can try and use an emery paper to roughen the belt , clean the pulley, check on the alignment of the motor and main pulley and if the belt is slightly loose you can use some insulation tape on the pulley as a test solution before you source the right belt , so as to increase the diameter of the pulley to stretch the belt.

Put new belt on Part# 137292700 and it won, t turn the drum

one possibility is the belt isn't on tension pulley pulley, the proper placement is the belt goes on the top of pulley aand the pulley is pulled slighty by hand and the belt fits on the under side of the motor pulley watch this video for proper confugeration of belt on tension(idler pulley) and motor pulley pause vidoe at the 1:18 mark for a real good picture of proper alignment

How to replace the belt on a whirlpool duet washer

To replace the drive belt on a Whirlpool Duet washer, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the washer and remove the rear panel.

2. Place the drive belt on the drive motor pulley with the ribbed side on the drive motor pulley. Leave a one-groove gap between the belt and the end of the pulley.

3. Take both hands and pull straight up on the belt and place on the drum pulley beginning on the left hand side.

4. Hold the belt firmly in place and slowly turn the pulley to the right while holding the belt in place. The belt will eventually align and hold in place on the drum pulley.

NOTE: This may require some effort to get the belt in place.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

How to replace the belt on a beko washer

Hithere.......the belt used on these machines is a stretch belt...ie...it will require a little determination to fit it......Isolate the electricity from the machine....remove the top lid.....remove the rear inspection panel...(5 screws) from the top of the machine offer the belt down to the motor pully...fitting it over the pully (middle of the motor pully)...bring the belt as far around the drive pulley of the washer as you can...then holding it in place gently turn the drive pulley this action will bring the new belt fully over the drive pulley...check and aling the belt in the middle of the washer pulley

Since the drive pulley is slipping on the roller itself, then the front roller will need to be replaced.

Replacing belt on washing machine

Hi!

Welcome to Fixya,

in replacing a belt please follow this step:
  • turn off and unplug your washer.
  • hook the belt first in drive motor pulley. ( a slot where your belt take place on top of the motor and sure that the belt is in place firmly to the slot of the pulley.)
  • start to hook the other end/loop of the belt to the tub pulley in one side of the pulley (it is more efficient in starting to hook the belt from inside to outside rotation.)
  • and hold the belt and rotate inside the pulley of the tub slowly
  • dont let the belt slip outside the slot of the pulley hold it firmly with your hands
  • hold the belt, clip to the slot of the pulley
  • but don't hold the belt alone or don't hold the belt in between of the pulley.
  • hold the belt inside the slot of the pulley in the tub pulley and rotate slowly. until it fix to the slot of the tub pulley.

If you need further assistance let me know. Please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.

Thanks,
aclamonte
