Bright lime green screen with horizontal lines

There are capacitors in the vertical circuit that can cause this problem. You may be able to find these capacitors by using a hair dryer pointed to the suspected bad cap and then when the problem happens you can spry a little cooling spray on it to see if the problem clears up. The vertical output IC could be going bad but this can be checked the same way. if you have no TV solid state repair experience, play it safe and take this set into a local repair depot. Good Luck

A line running across the screen like that and then returning to a picture I would guess is the vertical IC has some poor solder joints. The vertical IC in that unit IC401 is an LA78041 a seven pin IC that is mounted to a metal heat sink. On the foil or under side of the board take a careful look at the pins of that IC and any that look suspicious carefully re-flow some solder over.. Careful not to keep your iron on the pin too long.. And if have to re-solder several take some time between them to allow the IC to cool so you don't damage it.. Good Luck Bill

your convergence amp ic's./if you want to cheat/align the other two colors and manualy move the green yoke rings on the green picture tube neck so the green cross aligns with the red and blue.,they shuold form white when all three are aligned,on top of each other.

Your symptoms suggest that your vertical Ic401 has failed. In your Tv that Ic is a LA78040N-E Toshiba p/n# AE002783. Also it would be wise to test the feeder caps in that circuit, especially anything in the 100uf range.
This is not an expensive repair for a qualified shop. The Ic is under $20.00 dollars and caps are a buck or two - the labor will be your most expensive element of the repair and it shouldn't take an hour start to finish..
