SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Dryer is scorching clothes

there is a sensor in the exhaust line in the dryer, near the motor. this tells the heating element to shut off when it gets to a certain temp, either during reg cycle or if the exhaust gets clogged, it is meant as a safety measure, but it sounds like yours is bad so the heating element never shuts off. it is not an expensive part and easy to replace

You may have a bad key on the keypad. Does it respond if you push on the side of the key instead of the middle of the key?

SOURCE: Is there a child proof lock on whirlpool duet

Yes, there is a child safety control on the Whirlpool Duet. The Control Lock is a safety feature that allows the consumer to lock the control panel to prevent small children from manipulating the controls. The following link explains how to turn the feature on/off:

If this does not correct your problem, then you may have a more serious problem than a simple operator control issue. If you need further assistance, please let me know. I hope this corrects the problem for you.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet dryer not drying like it used to

If your duet isn't heating properly and you have taken care of the lint problem then you could have one of two problems. Either you have a bad heating element or you have a bad fuse or temperature sensor.
If your dryer is not heating at all then it is most likely the fuse or temp sensor. If it is heating and just not enough it is probably a bad heating element.
Both problems would require a repairman to come and fix normally, however if you believe it is the heating element that can usually be replaced by the homeowner without too much trouble. Just make sure to ask where it is located from whatever place you but the new element from.

What is capacity of my whirlpool duet ggw9250pw1? I don't see the answer identified. thank you

The Whirlpool Duet ggw9250pw1 looks like it has a 7.0 cu. ft. capacity. This is based on two different sources. The first has the GGW9250PW1 in a list of parts for 7.0 cu. ft. capacity Whirlpool dryer models. See http://www.appliancepartspros.com/search.aspx?model=whirlpool%20duet%207%200%20cu%20ft%20super%20capacity%20electric%20dryer .
Similarly, the related electric dryer, GEW9250PW1, is shown as having a 7.0 cu. ft. capacity at AJMadison.com: https://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/GEW9250PW.html .

I hope this helps.

My whirlpool duet electric dryer electrical systems and heat work fine, but drum won't turn and belt is in tact.

Check the motor capacitor, sometimes the capacitor could be faulty or the motor is faulty or check if the motor is receiving power,if it's receiving power try to replace the capacitor if the is any in the system,if still it's not working then the motor could be burnt.

Also check weather the timer is perfecty.
