I was drinking water and I had it in my other hand, and it dropped in. I have no clue what to do. It happened 5 minutes ago. I'm ready to vomit. PLEASE HELP BEFORE I CRY!
Take it apart and let it dry, thats about all you can do I dropped my mp3 into water and I just let it dry before tryiing to turn it on, I let it sit out all day in the hot sun. To my surpise it still works today.
Mike you have to go through the recovery mode screen any time anything weird happens to the player. You just select Cleanup and then Yes and it does the equivalent of a disc scan to reset itself. This does not cause your music files to be erased. Its just like discscan on Windows 98 worked on computers. And yes it can take a long time to run Cleanup and use lots of battery power to perform.
Throw it out. Not worth fixing
Water spilled all over my Zen Sleek too. It had one of those silicone skins covering on it so I think that might have affected how much water went inside player. It started playing & got stuck on a song. Rebooted and it stuck on recovery screen. I wiped all water off it and gently put edge of a Kleenex in the ISB cable jack to soak up the water and then sit it in front of a fan going full blast. Placed it standing up upside down so the water would drain from the navigation buttons which weren't working right. It dried out the machine enough where it is working now. It did have to go through the "Cleanup" mode before it would work properly after drying out.
Hello sarah, im sorry to inform you that your advice didnt help me i already tried to reset it, it went back to the recovery mode menu
I've recovered my telephone by putting it in a bag of rice. This will **** out the moisture. The phone did not work AT ALL. 2 days in the bag and it's as it was before and no info lost. I'm currently trying this with a Zen player. Wish me luck.
