Question about Panasonic PT-LB60U Multimedia Projector
The projector turns on, the power light changes from red to green. The image is displayed. The fan starts then turns off. The power light changes from green to red then the projector turns itself off after a few seconds. The power light stays red and the projector is unresponsive.

If you cant hear the fan running it isnt. While this unit has a quiet fan believe me you will know if its running during normal operation if you listen for it. This would explain your constant shutdownds.

Position reference device has probably fallen off the filter wheel, replace the filter wheel.

SOURCE: No image, lamp light blincking red
I have a 3 yr old AE900U dont know exact hours but prob at least 2000 hrs. about every other start up, the projector would flash little box; (replace lamp now). now a month later lamp wont come on. So this is prob the normal way a lamp will die. anything else might be another problem.

SOURCE: PT-L735 U projectors. Green screen and stretched
The green is the result of the blue device failing. Happens about 4000 hours or so. LCDs can't handle the heat. Check the scaling of the image of the second projector. 16x9 vs 4x3.
good luck
