My HP PSC 1510 does not communicate with my computer at all. I've tried multiple USB cables. The printer turns on, the copier works fine but when I plug in the USB, nothing happens. I have reinstalled the software and drivers. I uninstalled everything and plugged in the USB, trying multiple ports and the computer does not respond at all. I have tried this printer on 2 different PC's and I am currently trying to use it on a Macbook. Same result with every computer. It's the printer.. I believe in the hardware. It worked fine about 3 months ago but I haven't used it in a while and now it does not work. When the software looks for the USB, it claims "No devices found." I've used all USB's with other hardware and they work just fine. Is there a rest button or something on the printer?
Thanks so much!

Make sure that the hardware is functioning correctly. Restart the product and the computer Manually check the USB connection between the product and the computer Make sure that the USB cable is connected correctly to the product Test the USB connections and restart the computer The USB cable is connected to a USB hub or a docking station for a laptop or Desktop.
Fully uninstall and reinstall the HP software Use the MSCONFIG utility to enable the Startup software Try the scan again If the scan is successful, the issue is resolved.
Go to control panel and check the printer status, Unplug the USB cable than right click on printer icon and click on delete. Once you do that make sure printer icon should be gone. Than restart the computer. Once computer is Up than connect the USB cable of printer and make sure while doing that , the printer should be powered on. After that printer icon will again reappear in contro panel.
Go to control panel - printer and faxes and check if the printer is listed or not. Make sure the printer is set as default printer. Try different USB port and lastly uninstall and reinstall the printer.
Whenever I have seen this problem it has usually turned out to be one of the solder points on the USB connection in the printer. Of course it could be a logic board problem as well. Well done for testing your problem so thoroughly (eg trying different cables and machines) but I think it needs a repair agent now unless it is under warranty (or you can solder well). Mind you it's probably cheaper to purchase a new one then to pay to have it repaired.
xax! as it seems u have tested a lot of thinks! :)
well, listen first of all if u have the cd of the VISTA instaligation pack u shoulld install it from there,
after that, u can tru to unplug the usb cable from ur computer so it has no conection att all, and when it says to plug ur printer, plug first into the printer and THEN into ur pc...(this is quite critical)
more over, do not be mad with the setup soft cause as it seems its not the best :S
e.g. ive instaled it 4 time to my pc cause i got an error in every step!!!
