When turning off the car and taking out the key from the ignition, the faceplate of the pioneer premier deh-p880prs opens up and then 30 seconds later it closes. it is almost like it is trying to receive a cd when you take the keys out. is it some setting issue? i just don't want it to wear out because it is unnecessary.
The face folds down to give you the option to remove the face if you want. It will return to the upright position a few seconds later whether you remove the face or not. There should be a tab on the underside of the face you can push should you decide to detach the face from the chassis.
Alright thank you that makes sense. Is there a way to disable it from doing that? because I don't think i will ever remove it, and i don't want it to wear out.
The only thing I can think of is see if you can go into the menu and change the amount of time the face stays open to 0. I'm not sure if it is possible with your deck or not. Other than that, I don't think there is anyway to disable it.

my 9600 gat the same problem.. been told the ribbon needs replacing they sell on ebay for about £30 or you can send ur h/u to pioneer to do but that will be more expensive..
