THE MACHINE IS NEW BUT I BOUGHT IT AT A SALVAGE DEALER IT FILLS WITH WATER FINE AND PUMPS THE WATER OUT FINE WHEN THE TIMER SWITCHES TO WASH IT WILL NOT WASH -- NOTHING HAPPENS. THE SAME IS TRUE WITH THE SPIN CYCLE NOTHING HAPPENS. THE STATUS LIGHT SHOWS IT SHOULD BE WASHING OR SPINNING BUT THE MACHINE IS SILENT AND NOTHING HAPPENS. I THINK I MIGHT HEAR SOMETHING THAT SOUNDS LIKE A RELAY TRYING TO KICK IN -- MAYBE, NOT SURE. THE MODEL IS WWSE5240G0WW
Ck lid switch can be acessed by pressing clips at front edge of front anel and pulling panel off
I have a GE MODEL WWSe5240G0WW top loader washer that has seen very little use. My problem is that the unit will not agitate or spin,every thing else seems to work ok. I did remove the top lid switch and jumped the to wires (Yellow/Red and Orange) still did not make any difference. Any in for would be great.

I have the same washer and the same problem, no agitating or spinning. It fills and drains just fine. How can I jump the lid switch to see if that is the problem. I have also taken off the front panel and have checked the top of the motor for the flashing led described in the schematics but see nothing.
