Question about Mitsubishi WS-55511 55" Rear Projection Television
We have the BLINKING GREEN LIGHT OF DEATH that will not stop blinking on our . We tried literally everything besides taking it apart, and then I read up and found out I probably have to replace the capacitors, solder, blah blaah, etc. but it would be nice if someone could tell me as much as possible in terms of a step by step guide kind of thing. Because we took it apart and got the silver box out that holds the faulty capacitors, but now we are stuck. We have no idea how to exactly take out the capacitors and put in the new ones. I haven't had a tv for 2 months now so I hope you guys feel my pain!!! Im missin my Motha ****** Soaps! Juuuust kidding, but seriously im dyin here. So if anyone could help me out n explain it or tell me about a link that explains it all, it would be unbelievably appreciated! Thank you to all that reply, and from the bottom of my heart.......I ****** love you BABE!!!!!!!

A quick fix for this is to use a hair dryer to heat up the capacitors and then plug the tv back in. It should only take about 90-120 seconds to heat them up depending on how hot the dryer is. The cap's are located on the right side. Take the front cover off the TV, and heat up the box that is about the size of a small cable box on the right side. Once the cap's are warm, they will stay warm as long as the TV stays plugged in.

Just wanted to say thanks to Chris on the info and pics he made available. Replaced capacitors with 35v from Radio Shack and trouble is fixed. Just want to add to make sure when you plug your DM card back, make sure is plugged in all the way. Once you replace the capacitors, the cover gets pushed just a little because they bigger than originals and it puts just a bit of pressure on cover not allowing it to line up just right. The way I did it; plugged the DM module 1st and then put the cover on it, but please make sure TV is off and unplugged.

Listen: you need to wait for the set to first shut off! then push on the TV(not the remote) Input and Menu both at the same time for 5 seconds and then release---the power light will then blink---this model has this feature--
