2002 lincoln alpine 6 disc focus error

I have a 2002 lincoln with alpine 6 disc cd player. I can load and eject all 6 discs. the player attempts to seek tracks then i get "focus error" and the player switches to the radio. I bought a used player on ebay...it won't even load a cd...i'm looking for a service manual...this 6 disc player has been used for years by different auto's the closest i've come is to figure out it' a fujitsu 10 mechanism. the cd changer has a part # 18c821 (yl2f-18c821-ah) i've seen a # cdx6 used with this player also.

CD WILL NOT LOAD SAYS NO DISC IN PLAYER

You listed this in the auto section, so I'm not sure just where you have the problem. When you receive an error like this and you've tried several disks with the same result it means your CD player is bad and must be replaced.

E20: Focus Error
Cause(s): The CD player cannot focus on the disc or there is an internal focus problem.
Correction(s): Try cleaning the disc or using a new disc. Make sure the disc is loaded correctly. The road could be too rough or there is too much humidity. If the problem is not corrected, service the unit at an ACDelco(R) Service Center

I have an Alpine CHM 5655RF 6 disc player. It's is lit, but will not play. I think the error message is "DO" and now EO-1. If the unit is lit, would that mean that the fuse is not the problem? I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks, CE

Dvd in in player and won't eject. screen reads "loading".

Try unplugging the unit and plugging it back in after a couple of minutes, if cd still won't come out you can unplug the unit and manually remove the cd by taking the outer casing off.

Jammed CD & Magazine in an Alpine CHA-S634

Mine jammed after I dropped it, trying to swap it into a new car :-)
Same problem, however. Three of the six CD trays had wandered into the righthand mechanism (which selects and plays one cd at a time). Nothing else at all, most fortunately, was broken.
I removed the cover (3 screws on each side), and the small black faceplate that holds the eject button. The main faceplate came off too, needless to say; no screws, just tabs.
You have to remove the side brackets also, and the angle-adjust spring loaded pins on both sides need to be slid out. Then the body of the cd changer rotates out of its cover.
Now, you can see down into the mechanism. A CD was still stuck in the reader, along with several shifted trays. I could simply remove the CD, and with a small screwdriver, shifted the trays back over so that I could then successfully eject it. I removed and realigned the trays, which had been jammed, and it worked once more! Reassembled and reinstalled ;-)

Alpine CDM-9803 Cd Player

You need to visit Alpines' site to download the owner's manual for your unit. In the mean time here is some info from the troubleshooting guide for your error code.

• Mechanism error.
1. Press the "eject" button and eject the CD.
If not ejecting, consult your Alpine dealer.
2. When the error indication remains after ejecting,
press the "eject" button again.
If the error indication still does not turn off after
pressing the "eject" button for a few times, consult your
Alpine dealer.
Note
When the "- - - E" is displayed:
In case that the disc cannot be ejected by pressing the "eject"
button, press the RESET switch (refer to page 4) and
press the "eject" button again.
If not ejecting, consult your Alpine dealer.

Good luck.
