Question about Canon PowerShot SD110 / IXUS IIs Digital Camera
The flash failed on my SD110 after only one year (just outside the warranty). I would like some advice on how to repair this or if indeed it is worth it (the camera otherwise works fine). I also have an old Powershot A70(?) with a broken LCD... the flash on that still works. Are they interchangeable?
Canon will sometimes do a complimentary repair if you let them know you got it as a gift - when it's near the warranty. Give it a try: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=SupportIndexAct&fcategoryid=203 Otherwise, the flash assembly is about $40 and labor would be around $85 for us to do the work. The flash assemblies are NOT interchangeable. The LCD on the A70 is $55 + $45 labor to replace. www.crystalcamera.com
