Frigidaire I bought a Frigidaire Model GLEQ2152ES1 Front Load Washer less than a year ago. In the past few months, there have been a few occasions where the washer sort of turns itself on, when I haven't been using it. It doesn't start the cycle or anything, but the time will flash on the display and the machine will beep, as if the cycle were about to start. Then it goes back off and repeats usually for no more than 5 minutes. Sometimes even partial numbers flash onto the screen. I am worried that this may be a sign of something getting ready to malfunction, but I can't call a service person to come look at it when I never know when it might occur. I would hate for the washer to finally break after my one year warranty expires in February 2009.

Probaly control bd problem ..call any way to get history started also may consider extended warranty from where you purchased it some other warranty company control may finally go after warranty expires and and extended one would help avoid problems getting coverage for a problem that may be present during original warranty..ever tried convincing company to repair something that was faulty to begin with??

My frigidaire stopped working

The bearings are bad. My sears kenmore did the same thing. Do you have hard water, that would be one cause. Or maybe it's still under warrenty because it is not a cheap fix.

Wire Scraping sound and sparks inside rear dryer drum area.

Probably the rear bearing has failed and caused the drum to rub against the heating element. Hey, is this the guy that said he heard a noise last month? LOL

Frigidaire ftf630as0 Front-Load Washer TUB DOESN'T WASH OR SPIN

How old is your machine? Mine was doing the same thing. After doing some research online (and a visit from a Sears technician), I found out that the bearings died on on the drum. The Sears technician told us it was a combination of the type of soap being used (non HE), and the amount of soap being used per load that contributed to the unit's failure. I wish someone had explained that to us 7 years ago when we bought the machine. Appearently there are enzymes in the soap that will eat away at the rubber washer that protects the bearings. There are less of these enzymes in HE laundry soap, thats why it's recomended for front loading machines.I think the HE soap will still eventually cause this machine to fail, but it would take a little longer than 7 years (maybe 10 or 12). By then it's probably time to by a new machine anyways. We bought a new machine because it would cost over $500 CND to get the old one fixed. We ended up with a Frigidaire Affinity (FAFW3577KN).
