SOURCE: The tension on the recumbent exercise bike does not get hard
If your bike has magnetic resistance and you changed the batteries this should make your tension work properly. Since it did not I believe that there are magnets somewhere on your bike that are wearing out. Or it could be a computer part. Your manual should tell what part you need to order and replace. I hope this information has been helpful.
Also make sure the batteries that you put in your bike are really new ones. Sometimes you can purchase new batteries at a store and they are actually a little weak. I had this problem with an elyptical trainer and I went and got other batteries and this fixed the problem.
SOURCE: Does the exercise bike makes a lot of noise?
If noise is an issue for you, you should go with the manual
exercise bikes. They are much quieter than the
electrical ones. If noise is not an issue I'll have to go with the electrical
ones because most of them have a heart rate meter, miles meter and other
helpful features.
