Its sounds like you need a replacement knob, if you can turn the disc behind it to start a cycle and the machine times out find the timer is probably still good, do a Google search for Speed Queen parts, and buy the correct replacement knob.

SOURCE: What is the capacity (Size) of the Speed Queen Marathon Washer?

Pi,r,squared times height. Remember math back when we didn't have computers? So that's 3.14 x radius(half the distance across drum)squared(times itself) times height or depth of drum. Remember to do radius times itself first, then Pi, then height.

SOURCE: how do I replace broken washer cycle selector knob

Hello there and thank you for choosing fixya
These knobs are normally the pull off type so all you have to do is get a small flat tip screw driver behind the knob and gently pry it out to get it started then it should slide off
However if you are needing to replace the entire part then the top back section of the machine may need to come off it may even have some screws behind the white side plates that allow to be removed and the top part folds up and back allowing you to axcess the part ok this part is usually held on by 2 or 3 screws

I have a speed queen electric dryer mod AES68AWF. i was in a hurry&turned the timer knob while it was running. it sparked a little & then went off. can it be fixed?

Should not have hurt anything by doing this as long as knob was turned clockwise while doing so. Did it spark around the knob itself. Stan

Hi - the timer motor which turns the knob around is most likely to be faulty, unfortunately you will have to replace the timer - comes as a complete unit.
