When I am in the ArcSoft program, the capture option does not list the VCR

vcrs use an analog signal.. the rest is digital..your converter is not changing it in continuity..may need a new converter..

I first got the Elgato Video Capture device for my Mac, I was hard-pressed to find any info on the initial problem I was having of trying to see what I was recording while playing my NES. All of the posts on forums were from years ago, and none of them helped me out at all.
Hopefully I can help out someone who has the same problem, and maybe make their life a little easier while trying to capture their NES footage.

Sometimes a program is still working even if you have closed the task window. You can finish the task tree in task management panel or simply restart your computer. BTW, ArcSoft ShowBiz has a new version 5.0. Its functions are much more powerful than any versions ever.

IT SHOULD THEN ON DESKTOP FOR FUTURE EASY USE TO TAKE SNAPSHOTS
SO THEN CLICK ON IT AND GO TO CAPTURE THEN YOU CAN TAKE YOUR SNAPSHOTS
WHICH WILL BE SAVED IN YOUR DOCUMENTS UNDER WEBCAM MEDIA
IF YOU GO OVER TO THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE CAPTURE BOX
AND GO UP TOP TO CLICK ONTHE CAPTURES BOX IT WILL OPEN AND SHOW YOU THE PICTURES
THAT YOU HAVE TAKEN
AND IF YOU GO DOWN TO THE BOTTOM LEFT
IT WILL GIVE YOU OPTIONS OF DELETING PRINTING EMAILING
& FIND TARGET WHICH IS WHERE THE PICS ARE STORED

You can use the WebCam Companion Software installed in the Computer to capture images using the Motion Eye Camera.

To locate the Application, please click Start, All Programs, ArcSoft WebCam Companion Software and click ArcSoft WebCam Companion. This will open the Appilcation, then you can click the "Capture" option to capture the images.

If the Applications is not available in the Computer, you can download and install it from the below link.

if you have window xp:
go to start, control panel, add or remove and then click on the webcam in the list. Now, you will see an option, remove, click on remove and follow the on screen instructions,.
if you have window vista or window 7:
go to start, control panel, program and feature and then click on the webcam in the list. Now, you will see an option, Uninstall, click on Uninstall and follow the on screen instructions,.

if it is not being uninstalled then install the following program and uninstalll your web cam application using it.
