My guess is the light pickup is defective. You can purchase one of these on Amazon or Ebay for around $60.

SOURCE: WHY IS MY CAMERA NOT STAYING ON ?

It sounds like the memory card slot has been damaged in some way. This probably means a new circuit. I would suggest you find a Kodak service centre in your area. Hopefully the camera is still under warranty.

SOURCE: Internal memory is full

the support site for that camera is here http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/products/ekn036326.jhtml?pq-path=6839/15367 The internal memory is only 16MB and only 11MB is available for storage - as the camera is a 12.4 MP camera I would not expect you to be able to store that many "5" images on that memory - you need to get an SD or SDHC card for the camera - max size support is 32GB see page 4 of the advanced manual

SOURCE: transfer pictures from camera to card

First, make sure there's a card installed and that the camera's image storage location is set to internal memory.

Press the Review button, then the Menu button. Use up/down to highlight Copy, then press OK. Use up/down to highlight an option, then press OK.

You set the image storage location in the Setup menu.

Pictures saving to internal memory instead of memory card

The camera can use up to a 2gb SD card as well as the Fuji proprietary card. Those should be readily available almost anywhere. If you are not in a big hurry you can buy 'em all day on Ebay & probably buy the proprietary XD card there as well.

Can't find pixs on internal memory - how do you access them. I took pictures without a memory card in the camera - where are they stored ?

Remove the memory card and you should be able to see them on the camera. Bear in mind that the camera doesn't have much internal memory, only enough to hold nine pictures at full resolution and best quality.

No sorry, you cannot transfer the pictures from internal memory to the memory card. You can buy a USB cable online on that big auction site (they don't pay me, I don't write their name) for about $5 including shipping. Don't pay $35 at a retail store for one whatever you do!

Go to the "Menu", then in the green arrow (pointing right) go down to "copy" and then make sure the "IN-->SD is highlighted, and hit the menu again. It'll come up saying "Copy pictures from Built-in Memory to Memory Card? Yes/No...highlight "yes" by hitting the up arrow on the side (above the "menu" button which is in the center, hit the one above the round button there), and it'll say "Please wait, with an hourglass turning as it copies the pics to the card. Then it'll say "pictures copied" and return you to the main listing of pictures. Hope that helps

The picture I take don't seem to be on the memory card but in the camera memory itself

So you're saying that even with the card out of the camera, you can still see the picture? If so, your camera is stuck on internal memory saving mode. Here's how to get out....with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Once it is erased, insert your card and it should work properly.

You need to get a memory card. Then, go into the menu and find "copy" which will give you the option to copy the internal memory to the card. Then, use the card reader to download from the card.

Go to napa and they have the connectors that plug in to your existing wire connection, I don't know if they have the one for yours, but it won't hurt to check, you don't have to cut or splice the wireing with there trailer connectors, plug it in and done.

If you need it, you can download the current versions of all (free) Nikon software from
http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

To copy pictures from internal memory to the memory card, press the Playback button, select MENU, then select Copy.

You can view/download the user guide at
http://support.en.kodak.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/18741/selected/true

If you have enough room on the memory card, you can copy the pictures from the internal memory onto the card and then download them to your computer all at one time. If you don't have enough room on the card, you can download the pictures on them to your computer, then clear the card by formatting it, and then copy the pictures from the internal memory to the card for downloading.

If you just want to copy pictures between the internal memory and the memory card, here's the appropriate page from the user guide referenced above:
