Question about Proview XL775I (Silver) 17 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor
The monitor started blanking out(black screen)for short periods while in screen saver and was slow to wake up. Then the blank/black time started to get longer before it would wake up. Now it will not show a picture at all. The green power light is on, but no picture and nothing happens when pushing the power button. I have tried the flash light...No picture visable. I thought it might be the cable but it woul still displa the menu..right? Any suggestions?
Have you checked your video source to ensure that this isn't a problem with your PC or whatever you're displaying on it? Try using a different display and see what happens. Try putting this LCD on a different PC and see what happens. If indeed it is this screen then it could be something as simple as a loose cable. Start simple and work from there.

I think I might have misread your problem slightly. No OSD. What do you mean by trying a flash light? Try to shine it through the LCD to suppliment a failing backlight? I don't think that would work because there are two many layers of plastic, metal sheilding, and the backlight itself blocking the light from an external source. You'd have to break the monitor appart to try this. I don't have a clear cut solution for you. It could still be several different things (driver circuit for LCD, backlight, powersupply for the whole unit).
