This happened to me and I uninstalled drivers, disconnected the printer, re-installed drivers, then re-connected printer, alas no change for me so i had to buy a new one. Try the above yourself first, but doesn't sound too good the inking head maybe faulty.

I change printing inks, but the yellow color does not print note, I've cleaned up several times but to no avail Please do reply with thanks

Ink printers mixed all the colors to print one color. If your hello isn't printing properly than it may be your other colors that need changing. When you open up your printer to change the inks remove you inks and there may be a latch of some sort depending on your model. Remove the print head that was held in place by the latch and clean with a cloth. If this doesn't work you may need to buy a new printer. Print heads are very expensive to replace and not worth the cost for a new printer

Yellow ink will not print

You may have blocked yellow print head nozzles.

Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles.
After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the printthen a new print head is required.
A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase anew printer.
The Print head will contain all the nozzels for all the different colors so you cannot just replace a single color print head nozzels.

I have installed new HP cartridges (black and colour)but on testing I get no colours except magenta violet and red!! Peter Fairclough

You must set to clean the print head. Yellow ink doesn't work. Try to clean the print head with some hot water, untill you'll see yellow ink came out. Time to time you must print some color files do not dry the ink.

Don't print the black color

Doing reference on your issue. Double check the ink cartridge to make sure that the cartridge is correctly installed. Also be sure that the black ink cartridge used is compatible with the machine.

The next thing to do is a cartridge cleaning as the belief is that the print head is blocked. If you have done a thurough cleaning, the next thing to do is replace the black ink cartridge to be certain the ink cartridge is not faulty.

I have included print head cleaning instructions in case you have not done this cleaning process.

here is some information from the Brother support site:

If one or more of the ink colors are missing from pages printed by your machine (i.e. received faxes, copies and/or documents printed from the PC etc), nozzles in the print head may be clogged, or the ink cartridge in question may not be installed correctly. Verifying that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and/or cleaning the print head may solve the problem.

Cleaning the print head may solve the problem. When cleaning the print head, you are given the option to clean BLACK ONLY, one of the three colors (CYAN, YELLOW, or MAGENTA), or all four colors at once. For this issue we recommend cleaning only the affected color. If more than one color is missing then choose ALL.

When the machine completes cleaning the print head, press Color Start. A Print Quality Check Sheet will print.

I have hp 7130 deskjet and i cannot print in color initially i had bad printhead cyan and yellow error but after i cleaned print head all errors are gone but still cannot print color

Cleaning, unfortunately takes up a lot of ink. Check ink levels. If you need to, you may have to put new cartridges in every 100 or 120 pages or so depending on how colorful the documents are.

How much printing have you done with this printer?

Printer does not print in color but only prints in

Run a "print-head-cleaning-cycle" -- the ink inside the cartridges is not getting through the ink-jets, and is not reaching the paper.

Either that, or the electronics inside the ink-jets are malfunctioning, i.e., not telling the ink-jets to shoot the ink out.

Canon Pixma yellow color problem

Either the ink you are using is not going to give the color you want, or you have print heads that are blocked.

Alarm flashes ink emptyhas ink! color was printing only yellow/green now prints only red/pink!

any chance it has dried out? run the test / head cleaning / did you reset the cartridge when you replaced it? generally if one or two colors work - the problem is the ink cartridge or the head for the colors not working. Did you remove the "tape" on the new cartridge?

When i run a test pattern on my mfc 420 it will not print the yel

Clean the yellow printer head with the self cleaning function. Try printing yellow from a computer, etc. Check ink level, make sure it is not telling you low ink.

Colors not print well

This could be because of a defective valve.

DO NOT CLEAN THE PIEZO PH WITH ANY SOLUTION EXCEPT ORINIGNAL BROTHER INK!!!! OTHERWISE YOU WILL DEFENETLY DESTROY THE PH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try this:

Place new carts into machine and make sure thy are secured.

Press menu then start bk copy then fourtimes arrow up. machine will be in maintenance mode and lights will flash. press 7 then 6 then 4 then start bk copy. machine will refresh ink within tubes and ph and do some cleaning. when done press 7 then 6 then 3 then start bk copy. machine will do a power purge.
Leave maintenance afterwards by pressing 9 then 9. Do run a test print by pressing ink etc.
If you still cant see any yellow and/or magenta the ph is defective and needs replacement.
