I have my personal Laptop with brand name and model :LATITUDE D505 which I used to carry everywhere on my bussiness and personal trips. One day I keep some papers inbetween the LCD and my Laptop Keyboard and pressed the LCD to be closed. Next time, when I saw there were Black spots visible inside the LCD marked like the boundaries of the those papers which I kept. Please try to fix this problem as soon as possible. Thanks
I remember that while i was surfing once i had found a software which could try repair damaged pixels.Try to Google ''dead pixels repair'' it might give you a chance if they are not totally damaged....

If you?re positive that the black spots aren?t dirt or scratches on the outside of your screen you are probably dealing with dead screen pixels. Short of replacing the LCD screen there is no way to repair them.

if you have a jar of honey handy, run the jar under hot tap water for a few minute's. then take a dab and place it on a bandaid or piece of gauze. then center and stick it to the screen. do make sure your battery is removed and no power is connected. leave the bandaid in place for at least 4 hour's. remove and clean any excess off the screen then power it up.
sound strange? honey will suck moisture out of a diamond!

SOURCE: Keyboard problem in Dell Latitude PPX C Family
Actually this is a common problem with these Dell's. I have never found a cure for it other than replacing the keyboard. Fortunally they are not expensive, you can usually get one off of eBay for around $20 or so.
Hope this helps

Hello,
We have a wireless mouse and as the targus usb mouse sensor hub was plugged in it was bent over on the computer. My daughter who is two decided she didnt want mommy on the computer and began to shut the laptop on top of my hands and this hub. Now in the corner of the screen it has turned black. Sometimes it can go away but this is not looking good. It is already spreading up the screen as we speak. Will this continue and will we have to replace the entire screen. Are these types of situations covered in warrenties? We have a Toshiba satellite P 100. Thanks for any help.
