Can't start up the laptop as Media test failure

I've replaced a 20GB HDD by a 40GB HDD to my BenQ Joybook 5100U model and when the DVD-ROM drive load & install the Windows XP into it then the laptop noticed that, it can't find the HDD to install windows into it. I've booted up the laptop again with the old 20GB HDD then the following errors appeared on the screen as below: - PXE-E61: Media Test failure, check cable - PXE-M0X: Exiting Intel Boot Agent Press any key when ready......... No Bootable CD in ATAPI CD-ROM But when I put the Windows XP CD into the optical drive again then the above described is also happened again. I've booted up into the BIOS then knew that the laptop didn't recognise any HDD as HDD = 0. Now the laptop didn't recognise any HDD. Could any of yours know what's happened to my laptop and how to repairs/fix/correct this problem? Thank you in advance.

You may have to go back into the bios and see if there is an option to automatically find HDD, or you may have to manually enter them in the Standard Bios Settings. It may be that the old HDD are still in the bios's recognised setup.

Im having toshiba satellite s6959 laptop its touchpad scroll is not working i checked for driver in toshiba website but i cant find it out

Click Here for all drivers available for the 5100U direct from BenQ Main Website.

It is the 9th one listed, Synaptics Touchpad.

I reccommend downloading all the drivers listed, and burn them to a cd for future needs.

You can change the wireless security (key) from WEP to WPA from the Router only.

Hard Drive Replacement on Notebook

your computer might not able to support this capacity i suggest calling the manufacturer for Hardware compatibility, if it does not recognize, then the bios might not be able to recognize this big capacity, updating to higher version of bios might help but sometimes not, it all depends on your motherboard config.

Can't start up the laptop as Media test failure

If you can access the motherboard look for 'JBAT1' and if located put jumper on pins 2-3 then back to 1-2, although i'm not 100% sure if your notebook board is similair to that of an ATX board. If you are able this will delete any saved bios entries of HDD etc.
