Fixed white block on the top title bar

Hello, Please can anyone help me. I recently bought a Viewsonic v37 pocket pc running pocket pc 2003 premium edition. Must I say I do like this pocket pc but there is a problem with the screen. On the top of the screen (top title bar) there is a thick white band that does not go away even in applications. the stylus functions ok, even tapping on the start icon (in which I can't see) brings the drop down menu. This white band does get in the way of applications and I have fully reset the device but the white band appears still, even on the start up waiting screen with the viewsonic logo. Please can anyone advise me into fixing this problem.

This is clearly a hardware fault in the actual lcd display or the connector to the mainboard. the stylus function are controlled by the touchpad, it is mounted separated from the actual lcd display (on top of it) and connected with another set of wires to the mainboard. Most probably your problem can't be solved. However, try to take it to a service to have it checked, especially the connectors between the lcd and mainboard.

Att search bar

You need to list your website in google. See this page: http://www.google.com/addurl/?continue=/addurl
To get a good place in google, you must apply something SEO which includes making relevant content (i.e. if your website title says about fishing, it should only have content about fishing), having a good title and being linked to by many websites. (This is a very simplistic view of SEO)
I can provide much more detail about SEO if it is required. With a premium chat i can provide you with enough information to get your webpage into the top listings.
NOTE: Adding your website to google more than once will result in your website being blacklisted which permanently blocks all pages on your website from being searched in google _FOREVER_.

Wireless configuration tab disappeared

Did you install some third party connection software, like Juniper /Funk Odyssey? I found that software would get rid of that tab. Uninstall it, and the tab will return.

Start Up Problem

Ok Here is the REAL way to fix this: Most people dont think the V36 - V37 neet to be put back to " out of the box " settings, SO....

1. Turn off the main switch ( behind the battery door V36 ) (ON OFF on the bottom, back V37 )

2. Remove the battery V36 no need V37

3. Heres the one everyone overlooks REMOVE ANY STORAGE CARDS

4. Give it about five min to sit

5. Return the battery V36 NOTE: plug in the ac power source now, NEVER DO ANY UPDATES OR RESTARTS WITH OUT THIS PLUGED IN, IF THE BATTERY IS WEEK OR THE UNIT SHUTS DOWN YOU GET TO START ALL OVER !

6. Turn on the power switch

7. Wait for the unit to start, go through the start up instructions on your unit.

8. VERY IMPORTANT: This sucks, you have to clear and re-format your storage card there may be something there that is conflicting with your unit, I know this sucks, I know, but move any files you want to keep, picts, documents, excel files etc to your PC or Laptop for safe keeping, DO NOT KEEP BACK UP FILES OR PROGRAMS INSTALLED HERE, they can cause problems. Once you re-format your card move your files back to your storage card, if the problem happens again then its a file you may have saved so at this point clear the card of ALL files start at number 1 and when you get back to 9 everything should work just fine.

9. You are ready to start over, install first any patch files for the folding keyboard, keyboard drivers or IO card drivers first, that will insure they will work, if you start installing other programs they may write files to your unit that will prevent them from installing correctly.

10. Install your reformatted storage card and start re-installing your software.

I hope this helps, I have owned the V35, V36 and V37 Viewsonic Pocket PC's and have had my fair share of problems with them but nothing that cant be fixed somehow and no more than any other Pocket PC's out there.
