After receiving a new phone after it fell in the water, and backing up my phone before this happened, I reinstalled my back up onto the new phone. Now I cant send or receive text messages. Everything else works.
Contact your network provider and ask for a sim update and a gprs install message, this will sort the problem, also you may need to change your message service cantre number, here are the following uk ones :
