I was trying to resolve my E-18 problem with my SD200 using the method outlined here (http://www.fixya.com/support/t102982-e_18_problem) when I could no longer unscrew the tight small screws (I need a new screwdriver). I decided to go backwards and screw everything back the way it was until I get a new screwdriver. Unfortunately the power button no longer works, so I can't even get an E-18 error anymore. I am certain that I put everything back the way it was under the power button (although perhaps I didn't need to remove the button at all). There really doesn't seem to be anything to the whole mechanism at all in fact; it's not obvious how it was suppsoed to work. Can any of you help?
That sounds crazy!! This sounds like the camera needs to go back to the manufacturer for repair!
