Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3
I recently replaced the internal antenna on my razr v3, but i still can't get a signal to hold. It'll search for a network, and occasionally will find find Cingular (my network), allowing me to register. I even got it to hold the signal long enough to dial out. Alas, it dropped the call as soon as i picked up the other line. When i took the other antenna out, it didn't look at all damaged. I'm guessing the connecting circuits are also damaged. Without any diagnostic tools, it's hard to know what the real problem is.

I was recently told that if you use an external antenna on the razr, you can 'burn out' the internal antenna resulting in no service or intermittant service, even when in an area that normally provides strong signal, thus it may be that your internal antenna is the problem.
