That sounds like a typical motherboard and compressor start component failure. Unplug the power and pull away from the wall. I have a GE profile that is 3 years old ,side by side model # is PSC25MSWASS ,the problem about this frig is that frost build up in the refrigerator side the freezer is good,so the refrigerator is not...

If frost is building up on the REFRIGERATOR side and NOT the freezer side, then the cooling tubes could become blocked. Had the EXACT same problem with another GE side-by-side. Repairman just left and it was the main board that had to be replaced. It took him all of 5 minutes to replace and cost us $318. If you are handy, it is a repair you may be able to do on your own if you can find the correct model number and order it.

If the ice box is working but not cooling right I would find the thermisters and check them, and replace them. This manual shows where they are.
Bonus Info: Your ice box uses artificial intel to determine proper operation. I suggest you read this manual: ADC

Where is the thermostat on a GE profile refrigerator Side-by-Side

There is no thermostat ( cold control ) on your model refrigerator . It works off thermistors ( 3 in the refrig section and 2 in the freezer section ) . These thermistors , operate by the coldness which in turn , less resistance to the main control board the colder or warmer it will provide .

It snaps in place by lifting the plastic cover. Then when you replace push it in then down. It has two tabs one on each end.

Water dispenser not working

I fixed mine by leaving the light on the dispenser on. It took about 6 hrs, but the little heat from the light bulb was enough to defrost the water line.
