My machine has a faulty on/off button. Currently I can't switch it off, which is a problem as it's full of washing. I can't therefore open the door. I suspect a problem with the button mechanism. Anybody got any ideas on how I can open the washer to release the button and get my washing out.

Re: faulty on off button
The only way you can open the door is by switching off the washer open the lid feel down the front off the inside of the washer to were your door catch goes to you will find a catch you can release to open the door

The method we use on our LG WF 8071TTP top-loader:
Load stuff to be soaked.
Set load size and water inlets.
Start wash cycle.
Wait until water is full, and begins washing.
Press Start/Pause button.
Press Auto Stop button to switch machine off.
Press Auto Stop button to switch machine on.
Press Start/Pause button.
The fuzzy logic (if machine has this) will register that machine is full, and washing will continue.
E2 is a faulty button on your control board. Rub your hands over the buttons to make sure none of them are stuck and if you find nothing, try to unplug the unit for 60 seconds. If you continue to have issues, the control board will just need to be ordered and replaced to fix the issue. Here is also a link for the manual.
