Not charging
There could be reasons for this.
Firstly check the air waves of the hand held unit by inspecting the slide out built in crevice part - if its clogged - remove it.
Secondly, check the brush roll and bellow. The bellow can be inspected by removing one crosshead screw on the back. Be careful with this screw however, because if you lose it the bellow will not be able to stick back on without the screw being in place.
Thirdly, remove the entire brushroll by taking the floor head plate off (I believe a single dime/coin wedged into the plastic screw will undo this) and inspect the toothed spinners at either side of the brush roll - if it has hair entangled up, then clear this.
If you have done all this, the battery is only supposed to be charged for 16 hours the first time and thereafter 7 to 8 hours after each use. The Pronto isn't a particularly strong stick vac anyway and depending on how long you have owned it, it could well be the battery which is now beginning to lose initial power; unfortunately its one of the downsides to ANY cordless stick vac which has a moving brushroll. Hope that helps you!
