Electrolux 2 in 1 Ergorapido stick Vacuum. Motor runs then cuts out after 3 - 4 seconds. Sometimes it will run properly for 10 minutes so batteries are good. Why does it cut our usually?

If the hand held is working correctly (By itself) try pulling up a little bit on the 4 metal connection tabs on the wand. The connection tabs were not making a proper connection on my unit.

I just purchased the pronto 2 in 1 stick vac, however the instructon manual was not included, how do i change the battery?

When opening the pronto, make sure that you check close to the motor for more cells, depending on the model and voltage you may have a few more away from the ones in the handle...
Mine has 6 cells, 4 in the handle and 2 on the sides of the motor. I'm not certain, but I don't believe there is a model with only 4 cells. Replacing only a few cells would help, but isn't a long term fix

The blue lights on the charger base for the pronto stick vac go out after about 5 seconds and the vacuum is not working. What do I do?

check that the contacts are connecting and are clean of debris. If they are you can check the charging plug to confirm it is putting out 15v if not replace the charging plug. this is a common problem. you can get parts online at http://www.vacpartswarehouse.com/Electrolux-EL1000B-BZ-Pronto-Stick-Vac-s/3734.htm?gclid=CKDFg_3Jv7kCFc4-Mgody1wAjg

Electrolux 2-in-1 Pronto does not hold charge, I believe it's a battery problem. How do I get then replace the battery, since it is located in the hand vac part of the vacumn?

The battery replacement for the PRONTO is not a consumer level maintenance procedure.
However, I just replaced the 4 original EMX1600sS batteries by anotther model with the same specs and my PRONTO is working fine now. The battery model is
Tenergy 2/3A Size Rechargeable Battery 1.2V 1600mAh NiMH W/ Tabs
Those are a little smaller than the originals but with the same capacity of 1600mAh and can be easily found in the web.
There are other similar models available that could be used but have in mind the limitations for the dimensions and capacity in mAh.
The dimensions of the original cylindrical batteries are aprox. 33 mm (1 1/4") X 22mm (7/8").
Anything under those specs should work.
Good luck.

Electrolux Pronto 2-in-1: Looking for a part

There is no replacement for the dust container in these units. You would have to get an entire handvac which costs more then a full unit.

Not charging

There could be reasons for this.

Firstly check the air waves of the hand held unit by inspecting the slide out built in crevice part - if its clogged - remove it.

Secondly, check the brush roll and bellow. The bellow can be inspected by removing one crosshead screw on the back. Be careful with this screw however, because if you lose it the bellow will not be able to stick back on without the screw being in place.

Thirdly, remove the entire brushroll by taking the floor head plate off (I believe a single dime/coin wedged into the plastic screw will undo this) and inspect the toothed spinners at either side of the brush roll - if it has hair entangled up, then clear this.

If you have done all this, the battery is only supposed to be charged for 16 hours the first time and thereafter 7 to 8 hours after each use. The Pronto isn't a particularly strong stick vac anyway and depending on how long you have owned it, it could well be the battery which is now beginning to lose initial power; unfortunately its one of the downsides to ANY cordless stick vac which has a moving brushroll. Hope that helps you!
