I think problem is caused by unplugging the jack before pausing/Stopping the music.
1) Plug in a headset into the jack
2) Open up a media player (either the MP3 player or any online music)
3) Begin to let the music play.
4) Stop the music from playing after a few seconds
5) Completely exit out of the media application.
6) With the headset still plugged in, wait about 15-30 seconds. (this is so that the media/pandora app task can "fully" stop from running)
7) Unplug the headset.
The phone should now be able to emit sound from the earpiece.
If the above does not work, other methods I have read tell you to plug in a headset & play music. While the music is playing, quickly remove & insert the headset into the jack (not too rough so if doesn't break anything) until you hear the music coming out of the speaker.
Finally, if you still have the issue, try rebooting. Turn off the Phone, Remove the battery completely and reinsert after 30 seconds. Turn on the Phone.
The 2.5mm jack on your phone, that the M175C plugs into, is more than likely causing you the problem. The phone manufacturers do not dedicate a lot of power to the 2.5mm jack, so sometimes people have a hard time hearing you or you hearing them. If you are using a cordless phone, you could use a Plantronics CS55H wireless headset. This headset is intended for only one phone line, not multiple lines. The CS55H's TR1 plugs directly into the wall jack instead of your cordless phone. This eliminates using the 2.5mm jack on the handset that is causing you problems. The headset come with a one year warranty. Plantronics CS55H Wireless Headset Good Luck from Headsets Direct!
(Plz.read fully) Hai friends, let me first inform u that how your nokia 6630 detects it's headset. There are 13 connector pins at the boottom of yr cellphone.4 for usb connectivity, others for headset, mic, switch, antenna(not in order).
The first pin from left(plz. neglect the isolated pin near to the edge) is ground (-ve) and the second one act as a sensor for detecting headset is connected. When the normal headset jack is plugged in, it short circuits the ground pin
Hi There, I had the same problem with a headset one of our call centre reps were using. It's usually due to some one fiddling with the button. I got it working by removing the battery from the headset then resinked the headset to the base unit. Hope it works for you
