2000 Subaru outback w type c radio/CD/weather replacement

This often doesn't work because the radio is monitored by the Body Control Module on the 5 volt computer network.

The wire colors will not match to an after market radio. Save yourself much frustration and purchase a wiring harness specifically for your car.

Radio on but no sound after installing after market subs

to create a spark you must have had power connected somewhere. Did you have your radio turned on when you connected? if yes you may have blown the amp in the radio. If no then you have other issues with wiring and possible damage.
It's one of those instances where I'd need to be there to diagnose it.
Start by double checking the stereo is working, check its wiring is correct try each speaker connection in turn. If the stereo works and all the outputs work then double check the amps wiring and try a normal speaker connected to it. You must get the picture by now, you need to identify the source of the fault. to help you better I'd need a wiring diagram.

My security light is on and my radio gets locked sometimes while I'm driving. Does anyone one know why this happens?

yes, the anti theft system runs thru the radio. Either the radio is going bad and causing the antitheft to kick in, or the antitheft is bad and faulting the radio. I just went thru this in my girlfriends 01. Ended up installing after market radio and bypassing the security system. I bypassed thee antitheft security first, and the car worked just fine, but I didn't get any radio till I installed a new radio. Here Is a link to help with the antitheft http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Land rover discovery series 2 How do i plug in to the wirinng harnes from a after market stereo to the factory harnest from land rover i cant get sound from the speakers

it is a possibility that it can't be done that way, after market radios usually have to be wired into the wiring harness they don't just plug in for the simple reason vehicle manufacturers want you to use their radios & equipment NOT after market radios etc , you may have to get a auto radio installer to fit it for you otherwise if you don't know what you are doing it could be more costly in the long run......hope this helps......cheers.

No, make sure the vehicle key is in the aux or on position. If this still doesn't work, recheck the wiring. Also, make sure you have a good ground.

Installing aftermarket Kenwood stereo on 1991 Subaru Legacy. The subaru stock wiring does not have a red ignition wire. Can i simply connect the kenwood ignition wire to the Accessory +12v (Yellow/red)?...

Hi, according to my source, there should be an accessory wire that is blue with a yellow stripe. If your is yellow/red, that's fine. You actually should prefer an accessory wire to an ignition wire as there may be less static on the accessory wire. Just make sure the wire does not have power when the key is off. Don't use the illumination wires--they are not needed for the aftermarket head unit and should be taped off.
