I bought a iRiver H320 20 GB MP3 Player in May 2006. It was working fine till middle of August. I didn't use it from mid August to November and didn't charge it as well. Now I want to use it but can't turn it on. I charged it for several hours and for several days, sometimes for 12 hours a day. But still it's not turning back on. Tried reset and it didn't work as well. Please help me how to fix this problem.
Hi Andy- I have the same problem. Spoke to IRvier America & was told that they have no repair service for anything out of warranty- so we're on our own. Was also told that there are third party repair companies that can be found online. Maybe between the 2 of us we can find a solution. Care to keep in touch?

and just to be on safe side those rare, hard to find songs/photos you have ..back it up to pc or flash drive....
your iriver / laptop/ pc or ipod never through this things away...if you have to always remember to take the hard drive out even if its blank...take it out
I would suggest you bypass the troublesome circuit and the overload of curent density by powering down the unit before charging. Wait a moment before re-starting the unit. In your personal settings you may fine an option of when to turn off, it may be set to never. The driver on the unit is in question as it seems to need the one on your computer to function. See if you can download a new version other than the one currently on your unit, or maybe the one you have is somehow currupted, then try the same one but from a different source than where you originally aquired yours. You will need to turn off your firewall and other security in order to download the driver, once you are at the trusted site or your internet settings can interfere; another way is to list the trusted sites in your internet options pages, which will allow the downlaods to be uncorrupted. Hope this helps. GOD bless MY Love, Walneta
I had a similar problem. It seemed to just die with a light blue backlight, not the usual one. It would not turn off or on. I thought it was gone for good. However, I re-installed the driver (in control panel, system, hardware, device manager) I had to do this a number of times, with the h320 attached by usb and not attached. After a number of attempts, I got a message 'disconnect iriver h320' I then let the 320 completely lose its battery power (over a day or so) then attached the charger and got the charging message. It works fine now. Hope this helps
