VCR part not responding

Sounds like a broken belt, you need to lift out the mech and turn the pulley wheel at the front, then fit a new belt

According to your problem description, it seems to be the problem with the DVD door mechanism. To fix the issue door mechanism, you have to replace entire mechanism think it helps! Let me know.

4. Use the Manufacturer’s Codes (starting on page 36) to
locate the type of device and brand name and then enter
the first four-digit code for your device. If performed correctly,
the LED will blink twice.
NOTE: If the LED did not blink twice, repeat steps 2 through 4 and enter the same code again.
5. Aim the remote control at the device and press POWER
once.The device should turn off. If it does not, repeat
steps 2 through 5, trying each code for your brand until
you find one that works. If it still doesn’t work, try
Searching For Your Code on next page.
NOTE: If the device does not have a POWER key, press PLAY.
6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 for each device you want to control.

The belts are under the VCR tray and under the Disk tray.

try cleaning the player. with a dvd clean disk..for about $5.00 to $7.00.... and wipe down the player.
sometimes dust and trash gets in the way and will not close properly and you end up closing an closing until the trash get out of the way... cleaning it will help..

Keep pushing the "STOP" button on the Remote-controller will open the tray. This works mostly on all Philips DVD's. I tried on my recorder, it works.

unplug the power to reset it.

you need to replace the dvd loader(the whole setup, the draw/tray,laser sled assy ,etc) statewide sell
parts for lg.unless you know an authorised lg repair agent.too bad you dont know me, lol.
(ps,its not in the manual,cuz there is nothing you can really do about it without serviceing the unit)

unplug the unit and plug it back in see if it resets

unplug and plug back in.
