VCR part not responding

Okay, I dont know what is up with the VCR part of the combo. before the 3 DVD's in the tray issue, we started not being able to eject VHS tapes from the combo. so thats how I came to opening my player. I can get it out if I take it apart & pull it out(runing the VHS tape of course:()and if another in and it will play just not eject! very frustrating... any ideas??

This is a common problem. Also the DVD unit has a High failure rate due to the spindle motor going bad. CD's may spin very slowly or erratically and sometimes the CD might be hard to eject. The VCR may be very difficult to get out to work on, and I doubt that it is a broken or loose belt that is causing your symptoms so you will probably be better off just replacing it.
