The ICs or the capacitors on the main board of the tv which controls the picture quality of the tv.is either gone loose and needs resoldering.or it is going through its last phase so further problem can occur if it gets completely faulty.get it replaced before it gets completely faulty.to avoid the further problems.

Zenith Projection Tv Set Model number ZB4685T no Visual

Since this is a CRT based set, there could be a number of problems. What exactly do you mean when you say that the picture fades? Do you loose contrast and the picture gets lighter? or does the picture darken toward black?

Parts are still available, so this can be fixed. If youfeel you want to attempt this yourself, please supply additional info and we'll walk down the diagnosis path.

Technician just replaced the upper right (from the back) circuit board that conects to the panel. TV now works fine. I bought the display model 8 months ago with extended Circuit City Warranty for $1000 so I can't complain. This was covered entirly by LG/Zenith (nicest Cust. Svc. ever) so we'll wait and see what happens.
