Brother MFC8460N Wireless printer going offline. All our folks using same wireless printer on Windows Vista OS. You guys have any break fix for this problem?

    Mine is the MFC-490 CW, but same problem. On the printer's LCD screen- it shows that it's connected to my network. In 'Printers', it shows that it's offline.

    I have the same problem but with 490 cw one. it has me very mad, i have no idea how to fix it.

    Mines the MFC-490CW and I go to print and it says its offline but my other computer can print wireless.

I had the same problem and call customer service (877-276-8437). Customer service will walk you through the process. You will have to configure you I.P. address along with other steps.
One thing I can tell you is to make sure under the Menu option...Network....WLAN...TCP/IP...BOOT Method....make sure it states STATIC.

Brother mfc8460n doesnt print but my status button blinks yellow

you printer might be overrun so try to reset it
switch off the machine and switch it on when you pressing STOP button for 5 seconds.

My MFC8460N Brother won't print. It makes this

Gears on the tray is broken, or the gears that lift the tray. (thus the clicking noise). And the no paper is due to the actuators underneath not being activated because of the non lift.

Try replacing the toner and if it still happens then you have a bad fuser. But im pretty sure its a faulty toner.
